Let's Get Started!
Thank you for taking time to visit me! My name is Tricia Miller, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Life Coach, and Educator in Houston, Texas who loves to connect to people in positive, sincere and meaningful ways. Feel free to read more ABOUT ME and my story.
If you are ready to take a big step to overcome anxiety, live a healthier life, have a healthy relationship(s), find balance in your stressed-out life, and/or pursue your sense of purpose, I would LOVE to work with you.
Counseling vs. Coaching
While I am have a clinical background as a Licensed Professional Counselor, I have the unique opportunity to provide Life Coaching services to clients as well. The feel, language, and strategies differ in various ways.
Coaching involves identifying goals, goal setting, and formulating a plan of action to achieve goals. The person seeking coaching often has a specific goal(s) in mind (i.e. weight loss, finding a new job, etc.). In addition, Coaching has a present and future orientation.
Clients who seek Counseling (also known as Therapy, Psychotherapy, Talk Therapy) with me often will explore different areas in their life with depth and perspective. Individuals may be in need of the following:
Identifying coping skills/strategies with Anxiety/Depression;
Identifying stressors associated with Anxiety;
Healing from past trauma (domestic violence, natural disasters, loss of loved one(s), abusive relationships, witnessing a horrific event, etc.);
Working through high-maintenance and difficult relationships;
Processing difficult life transitions such as pregnancy, motherhood, job loss, divorce, break-ups, etc.;
Building self-esteem, sense of worth, and courage, and breaking through insecurities.
I am located in Memorial Counseling Center, a conveniently located, private practice in the West Houston/Memorial area, and in the heart of Spring Branch ISD.
